The Sheffield Stories Team are currently sitting down to begin editing and reviewing the work already submitted, there's still time for your stories to make the online edition!
Your submissions need to be recieved by March 31st in order to make the final selection of short stories to be published by the team. If you don't get your story to us by that deadline do not be disheartened, any remaining submissions will undergo the same editing process with the aim to publish them in later editions of Sheffield Stories.
The requirements for your stories are the same, 500 - 1000 words long, regarding your life or experiences of Sheffield and all submissions need to be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Many Thanks from the Sheffield Stories Team.
Sheffield Stories is a project that aims to bring together all the interesting tales of the people of Sheffield and share them with everyone!
Sheffield Stories, a project that recently hosted an event at the OFF THE SHELF Literary Festival 2010, wants your short stories! All you have to do is submit your stories to our team and we'll consider them for publication! That's right, your work could be published!
As detailed in a recent review in the Sheffield Star, our project will work with you, the writer, to create an anthology and website of your work! the work will be edited by a professional student team alongside yourself.
The story can be about:
-Why you chose to live in Sheffield?
-Why you stay in Sheffield?
-Why do you love Sheffield?
-ANYTHING about Sheffield!
(An approximate 500 - 1000 word count is given but feel free to experiment at this stage!)
We are also hosting various live mic nights throughout the year, the next one to be organised for mid-december, where writers get the chance to perform their work to an audience!
If you wish to submit a story, click the 'Contact Us & Submissions' tab at the top of the page for more information!
Thanks for visiting!
